I had my first ever open water race today!
And i'm proud to say i'm very much alive and well (:
I managed to survive 1km in the sea!
Except for the part that i got scratched and pulled
by someone, whom i shall not name (but i think some of you know who)
So, i did what anyone would have done (I think), i
breastroke kicked the person and kick super hard.
The girls and guys were flagged off at the same
time, so we were like swimming with all the guys.
When i jumped into the water, i got sea water in my eyes.
Like, how smart man.
So i was contemplating to stop or just continue swimming,
and i just continued swimming.
The first 500 wasn't that bad, the 2nd 500 was the worst.
I felt like i was swimming forever and
not reaching the freaking buoy.
And it was the part when i caught up with the guys,
and i got kicked/punched/smacked in my
face/stomach/arms. And during that part, the
wave was suddenly super choppy, i was just floating along.
The last 500 was just swimming to shore, like finally!
The last part was so tiring, we had to come up and run
a short distance to the finish line.
After i reached the shallow part, i stood up, and
almost fell back into the water.
And i could barely stand up, let alone run.
My legs seriously felt horrible at that moment.
But still, i quickly ran up and finished my race.
And stupid john kept shouting for me to run faster -.-
Couldn't he see i was half dead already! ):<

During the race, i didn't see any marine life.
Firstly because, the sea was SUPER murky and dirty.
So even if there was something swimming near me,
i wouldn't have known.
Secondly, i was too busy thinking about
completing the race that i didn't care.
And i swallowed ALOT of sea water
(more water than i drink in a day)
Yknow while swimming, you can smell the oil
whenever you breathe, and its really disgusting.
I got this bite on my thigh. I don't know if its a bite or what,
but its like all red now ):<

Oh the most interesting part was the HEAVY RAIN!
During the 5 km swim, the sky suddenly decided
that it wanted to rain and let some water down.
Everyone was hiding under the tents.
And they had to stop the race.
Those lucky people! They get to come back on jet skis!
And only swim like 2km plus of their race!
So unfair, but if it happened to me, i think
i would totally freak out.
I mean, out at sea when there's heavy rain and lightining!
Mummy and i were hiding under the tent
with a whole lot of other people. It was super cold lah.
Then daddy came and rescue us from the raging storm.
And we went home. I guess thats all for open water (:

Last paper tomorrow, Chinese Paper 2! (:
Then its, GOODBYE EXAMS! :D
